We are seeking an Information Systems & Security Officer to join our team in Malta who will be reporting to the Senior Technical Compliance Manager.
Objectives:
- Responsible for the set-up, upkeep, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of the IT systems/devices, including but not limited to:
- Internet connectivity
- Firewall and Switch
- Internet wireless access points
- Laptops / Monitors & other devices
- Printers/Scanners/Photocopiers
- CCTV
- Access control systems
- Antivirus configuration & other necessary software
- First line support on technical and equipment matters for employees.
- Maintain an IT inventory and the appropriate logs for access control;
- Act as a liaison with other group companies, for the implementation of group IT requirements;
- Maintenance of ISO27001 certification and other industry standard certification processes, and the acquisition of new certifications, as may be required;
- Monitoring of access to sensitive data
- Must have knowledge of systems used by employees and sensitive data
- Understand what access rights employees have
- Understand where data is being stored and how it is being transferred from one system to another. Ensure that proper secure procedures are in place during transfer of data.
- Perform periodic checks to ensure that employees access only required data and sensitive data handled in the correct manner.
- Perform information security risk assessments on systems, as may be required by regulatory requirements or internal company policies;
- Implement and act as the owner of the information security policy, and all policies related to access control, business continuity, disaster recovery, back-up, incident management and change management amongst other policies;
- Perform any necessary tests to ensure adherence with the framework and the policy;
- Organise information security training for staff;
- Suggest improvements to the information security framework of the company;
- Provide assistance during audits, reviews etc.
- Fulfill any Key Roles relating to IT or Information Security as may be required by required by the company;
- Work together with the Data Protection Officer of the company to ensure that the company is compliant with its regulatory obligations and internal policies;
- Any other tasks relating to IT administration and information security.
Key Skills:
- 1+ year experience in information security;
- Experience in auditing is considered a plus;
- Detail-oriented problem-solver, who is hands-on, is able to take ownership, and has a high level of integrity and confidentiality;
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
